Our buildings are compliant to specifications published by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, ATF Publication 5400.7, ATF specs27 CFR 55.11, and 27 CFR 181.187, 181.188, and 181.189. Our buildings are designed under the guidelines prescribed by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). These guidelines provide in-depth procedures to ensure that your building is designed to protect your explosive materials.

Rugged Buildings are designed to meet the requirements of the International Building Code (IBC), and the design loads as specified in the American Society of Civil Engineers “Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures (ASCE 7). The Rugged Building designs are further reviewed by an Independent 3rd party Engineering firm that will certify your building drawings providing state seal approval in multiple states as required, giving you the most versatility for your fleet.
Rugged Buildings comply with State Energy Codes designated in the State Seal Packages when required. At Rugged Buildings we strive to preserve energy consumptionby designing energy efficient buildings regarding heating, cooling, ventilating and lighting as applicable.
Each RuggedBuilding is compliant to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) for fire protection, and the National Electrical Code (NEC) for electrical compliance. Every component installed on our Blast Buildings conforms to Underwriters Laboratory (UL), Underwriters Laboratory of Canada (ULC), and/or Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
Rugged Buildings are continuously welded on structural members and exterior joints for maximum strength, and to keep foreign materials out. The Rugged Buildings manufacturing process is certified with the American Welding Society (AWS) and the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB).
